This course (LCA 9011) takes a detailed look at Legionnaires’ disease and the control of Legionella bacteria in hot and cold water and evaporative cooling systems including cooling towers. It covers water safety risk management, best practice procedures, latest guidance and the rules and safety regulations that surround this process including the Health and Safety Executives ACOP L8 and HSG274 Parts 1 (Evaporative Cooling), 2 (Hot & Cold Water) and 3 (Other Risk Systems).
This advanced course will help you meet the Legionella training requirements for the responsible person and duty holder set by the UK’s primary safety regulators, the Health and Safety Executive, the Care Quality Commission and Ofsted.

On successful completion of this course you may receive a City & Guilds “Certificate of Attainment” for this advanced Legionella training course.
This certificate is valid for three years and should be retained as evidence of formal training in this subject.
