As part of our on-going expansion, an excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legionella / Water Safety Specialist / Authorising Engineer (Water) to join our enthusiastic team here at Legionella Control International.

We are one of the world’s leading independent consultants specialising in the management and control of Legionella and other water safety issues.

As an independent consultancy we provide the best, impartial advice to clients across most sectors both here in the UK and internationally. Our core services include Legionella and water safety risk assessments, training, water analysis, auditing, expert witness advice, Authorising Engineer (Water) and independent consultancy services. Our Head Office facilities are based in Manchester.

* You may be required to travel and work in various locations throughout the UK and possibly internationally

Summary

  • Date: November 2024
  • Role: Senior Legionella / Water Safety Consultant / Authorising Engineer (Water)
  • Location: Home Based, with UK Travel – HQ in Manchester
  • Salary: Competitive salary, DOE plus benefits, see below
  • Contract: Permanent, Full Time
  • Hours: 8.45am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday

Preferred Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications / Experience

The ideal candidate for this position we will be an experienced Legionella/water safety consultant/authorising engineer (water) with a desire to deliver the highest levels of client advice and service excellence. They will be comfortable talking to prospects and existing clients in all sectors, and at all levels.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Legionella / water safety specialist / Authorising Engineer (Water), capable of advising on all water system types, across all business sectors to meet the highest standards of safety and compliance.
  • Familiar with relevant legislation and guidelines relating to the control of Legionella, Pseudomonas, other waterborne pathogens, and water safety matters including ACOP L8 and HSG274, HTM04-01 and other relevant documents.
  • You should have excellent communication, report writing and organisational skills.
  • A keen eye for detail, strong problem solving and analytical skills are also required.
  • The ability to liaise with colleagues to provide commercial, technical and general support as necessary.
  • Build relationships with new and existing clients and emphasise the benefits of working with Legionella Control International.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • Degree qualification ideally in a scientific subject would be desirable.
  • Proficient in the use of Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CRM.
  • Able to travel and hold a full clean UK driving licence

Where gaps in technical knowledge and understanding of our products and services exist, a familiarisation period with full training will be provided.
